Frequently Asked Questions
  1. The previous family doctor and family nurse have retired. Informing patients is the responsibility of the retiring family doctor.
  2. The location of the family doctor's practice no longer needs to be tied to the geographic location of the district. A reasonable transportation system has been planned to reach the family center.
  3. Patients must call or write themselves to get test results. Patients should take an active interest in their health. We contact patients if immediate treatment adjustment or potential further medical treatment is necessary. After undergoing any examination, please promptly inform us, so the doctor could comment on the results in a timely manner.
  4. Patients can change their family doctor based on a written application. Patients choose a doctor they trust. Information about available spots in a family doctor's practice can be found on the Ministry of Health's website. The application form for changing the family doctor can be found on the Tervisekassa website.
  5. Please use voicemail. We process every voicemail received. In some cases (when the workload increases), we may not be able to answer the phone immediately. Hence, you can leave a voicemail about health issues, the need to renew a prescription, etc. Telephone service is active only during the family center's working hours.
  6. We encourage you to try using the e-perearstikeskus service. It is a simple and quick way to contact us. Through e-perearstikeskus, you can book an appointment, order a prescription, and consult with family center employees. E-perearstikeskus is the "digital office" of the family doctor.
  7. If a patient comes to the family center without an appointment, they should be prepared for waiting. The doctor and nurse see patients according to the registration list.
  8. The nurse will ask you about your health problems to conduct triage and find the best appointment time for you. Some medical cases can be handled by the nurse, who will consult the doctor if necessary.
  9. Test results are commented on by the doctor. The nurse can explain the doctor's comments to you.
  10. To get a referral to a specialist, you need to come to an appointment.
  11. Let’s try to treat each other with respect, noticing the positive aspects. We strive to do our job well.
